The ten-track record is a follow up to 2018’s Early Morning Rise and offers a throwback sound in the present time. Tea Leaf is the solo project of Manchester based punk band Hora Douse’s front-man, Tom Lee. With lyrics detailing the internal experience that ensues as depression takes the wheel, Disappear is a far cry from the normally boisterous and aggressive punk rock music that Lee creates with a full band. Instead, Lee takes the scenic route with Disappear, complete with slow melodies and gentle, vulnerable lyrics that fall into soft guitar chords as Lee’s truth spills onto the pages.
