The Soundbar is located in the heart of downtown Orlando, Florida. This venue is known to residents for the mix of local and touring acts that come through the city, making the Soundbar a gathering place for Orlando’s locals to check out new music. This was no exception June 6th, when Kurt Travis played a headlining show in support of his new album, There’s A Place I Want To Take You.Read More
We were able to cover BreakFEST for the second year in a row on Sunday June 2nd at The Factory at Franklin in Tennessee. This aptly named breakfast themed music festival is put on by New Found Glory, and after the success of the inaugural year, we were looking forward to what round two would bring!Read More
The Abbey in Downtown Orlando, Florida is a well-known venue with the locals and music enthusiasts alike. The small building gets frequented by bands fairly often but generally hosts small crowds. This was definitely not the case on May 22nd when Palaye Roayle played to a sold-out venue. The trio, consisting of Remington Leith (vocals), Sebastian Danzig (guitar), and Emerson Barrett (drums), have always drawn a dedicated fan base to each show whether they’re support for a headlining act, playing a side stage at warped tour, or in this case, at The Abbey.Read More
Acme Feed & Seed is a popular spot in Nashville for tourists & locals to party while downtown. Having served as a storefront starting in the late 1800’s, Acme is now well known as a multilevel venue with multiple bars and event spaces. As we’d never been to a show there before, I wasn’t sure what to expect! Once we got there, I realized just how intimate of a show this would be. A modest stage faced rows and rows of packed seating, with audience members actively waiting for the show to start. Lucero performed as part of an unplugged series on April 29th, with direct support from East Tennessee native Joey Kneiser.Read More
Exit/In hosted the Nashville night of The Bouncing Souls’ 30th anniversary tour. With a predominantly East Coast heavy lineup for the first leg of this tour and a packed venue, it was sure to be a night to remember.
I had the opportunity to catch Knocked Loose on their headlining spring tour at the Starland Ballroom in New Jersey on April 13th. With a stacked line-up featuring The Acacia Strain, Harm’s Way, special guests Incendiary and more, you really can’t go wrong. If you’re unfamiliar with Starland Ballroom, it’s a small but spacious venue, with capacity at 2,000 people and the ability (and of course, reputation) to pack almost every show I’ve attended wall to wall.Read More
Forever Came Calling brought their acoustic tour to The End in Nashville, TN earlier this month on April 6th. For their show in Music City, a small crowd turned out to support the show. It’s always refreshing to hear stripped down versions of otherwise highly energetic songs, so this stacked lineup provided a night of laid back entertainment.Read More
