The Cambria Hotel, located in downtown Nashville, is home to the True Music Room. The True Music Room hosts multiple free artist showcases monthly, and we stopped by for a recent performance by Alissa Moreno, Julie Haven, and Sinead Burgess. Music City certainly lives up to its name with countless concerts and shows taking place daily, and the True Music Room is a wonderful addition to our already brightly colored musical landscape. This is the perfect place for guests to sit back, relax, and enjoy some live music!

Alissa Moreno was the first to perform, and treated us to a variety of songs from her catalog. Alissa has had original music featured on Army Wives, as well as The Hills. Originally from California, Alissa has been writing and working with other musicians here in Nashville for years.

Julie Haven took the stage next, and started her set off with “See Me Cry” off of her latest EP, Fool’s Gold. Julie has a seemingly big, vibrant personality that allows her live performances to resonate with listeners easily. In between songs, Julie shared stories that fueled her writing process, and acknowledged that all of her songs revolve around heartbreak - music has proven to be a helpful outlet! Towards the end of her performance, Julie played “Soul Searching” off of her upcoming full-length album which she is currently working on in Nashville.

Australian singer-songwriter Sinead Burgess closed out the night. Sinead has been performing live since she was a teenager — it’s safe to say that she owned the stage! She kicked off her set list with “Tennessee Bound,” which is a folksy Americana tune that’s sure to get stuck in your head. Sinead donned a harmonica for “Praising God, Raising Hell,” and kept the crowd engaged as she wrapped up this three artist show.
